What we collect
- Your zip code or location when you search, to show nearby events. Your last zip code is remembered on your own device so you don't have to retype it. Searches aren't tied to your name.
- Your email and zip code if you sign up for the weekly roundup.
- Event details, photos and contact info when you post an event or sign up a business.
- Your account: your email, password (stored securely by our sign-in provider, never seen by us) and the profiles you follow.
- Your profile: the name, picture, bio, town, links and food truck stops you choose to add. Profiles are public.
- Your reviews, likes and reports. Reviews show your profile name. Likes are counted but don't show who liked what. Reports are only seen by us.
How we use it
- To show events near you and send the roundup you asked for.
- To review, publish and ask questions about events you submit.
- To set up and bill business plans.
Event details you mark for posting, like the event name, place, time and any public phone or website, are shown publicly. Your contact name and email on a submission are not.
What we never do
We don't sell or rent your personal information.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the services that run the site, and only what each one needs:
- Netlify hosts the site, receives the forms you submit, and runs sign-in (Netlify Identity), including sending account confirmation and password reset emails.
- Stripe processes payments. When you pay, you enter your card on Stripe's secure checkout page. We receive your name, email and payment status, never your full card number.
- Zippopotam.us receives the zip code you search so it can be matched to a map location. It isn't sent your name or contact details.
- Our email provider sends the weekly roundup to people who sign up.
We may also share information if the law requires it, such as to respond to a valid court order.
How we protect it
- The whole site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), so information you send can't be read in transit.
- Card payments happen on Stripe's checkout, which meets the card industry's PCI security standards. Card numbers never touch our site.
- Form submissions are stored in our Netlify account, which only Joseph can access and which is protected by a password.
- We keep submissions only as long as we need them to run the site, handle billing and keep required records, then delete them.
Your choices
Unsubscribe from the roundup anytime using the link in any email. Edit your profile or delete your reviews anytime from your account. To delete your whole account, contact us through Support. To have a post or your information removed, use the support form or contact us below.
